The Art of Giving Back
Where creativity, purpose, and a very personal story meet.
The artwork adorning the walls of Driftwood Day Spa is more than part of our aesthetic; it is deeply personal.
Each abstract piece featured throughout Driftwood’s exclusive in-house gallery is an original work created by owner and founder, Christina McLarty. From the vision behind the spa to the art that fills its walls, Christina’s creativity is woven intentionally into the Driftwood experience.
But behind the gallery is a story that began long before Driftwood ever existed.
In 1991, at just 18 months old, Christina was adopted by her grandparents, Helen-Annette and Gary, two people who made the decision to step in, give her a home, and ultimately change the trajectory of her life.
That story is the heart behind The Gary Annette Foundation, named in their honor.
Christina knows firsthand what it means for someone to choose to step up for a child. She also knows that not every child is fortunate enough to have someone in their life who is able to do the same. The foundation, and this collection in particular, is a small way of honoring the two people who stepped up for her while extending that love to children within Georgia’s foster care system.
Every piece displayed in the Driftwood Gallery is created exclusively by Christina and is available for purchase directly through Driftwood Day Spa, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting The Gary Annette Foundation and its mission to give back to children in Georgia foster care.
For Christina, these paintings represent far more than creativity. They represent gratitude. Legacy. And the belief that something beautiful can become an opportunity to do something beautiful for someone else.
So when a piece speaks to you, you aren’t simply taking home original artwork from Driftwood.
You’re taking home a piece of Christina’s story, and helping write a little more hope into someone else’s.
